This Privacy Policy explains how Skills Panda (Pty) Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses,
shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Panda Bot mobile application ("App"). By using
the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
- Name, Email, and Contact Details: When creating an account, we collect your name, email,
and contact details to create your profile and communicate with you.
- User ID and Authentication Data: We store a unique identifier and authentication tokens to
ensure secure and personalized access to the App.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your real-time location data to provide
proximity-based services and enhance safety features during check-ins.
1.2 Usage Data
- App Activity: We log your interactions with the App, including features accessed and time
spent, to help improve the App's functionality.
- Device Information: Information such as device model, OS version, and unique device
identifiers is collected for performance monitoring and support.
1.3 Camera, Photos, and Files
- Camera Access: The App requires camera access for scanning QR codes for attendance and
verification. We do not store or transmit any media captured.
- Photos and Files: Photos and documents shared within chats are temporarily stored on secure
servers and are encrypted during both transit and storage. They are deleted after a defined period or upon
request.
1.4 Technical Data
- Log Data: We collect technical logs to diagnose issues and improve security. This includes
IP addresses and access timestamps.
- Cookies: Cookies and tracking technologies help us personalize content and analyze usage
trends. You can control cookie preferences in your device settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To Provide Core Services: Enable essential features like user check-ins, program tracking,
chat messaging, and QR code scanning.
- To Personalize the Experience: Tailor content and services based on your preferences and
usage history.
- To Communicate with You: Send critical notifications, support responses, and educational or
promotional material (with consent).
- To Enhance Security: Monitor for suspicious behavior, enforce login protection, and prevent
abuse or fraud.
- To Meet Legal Obligations: Fulfill data requests as required by South African law or
regulation.
3. How We Share Your Information
- With Your Consent: Data may be shared with approved program sponsors or clients who fund
learners, with explicit consent.
- With Trusted Service Providers: Including cloud infrastructure, analytics, and customer
support platforms, under strict confidentiality agreements.
- For Legal Reasons: To comply with judicial proceedings, court orders, or legal processes.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for the duration of your active use and for a period thereafter as
required by applicable laws. Data is securely deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
5. Your Rights
- Access & Correction: Request a copy of your data and correct inaccuracies.
- Data Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions at any time via your profile settings or by contacting

where applicable, using appropriate contractual clauses and protections.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. If we become aware of information collected
from a child, we will delete it immediately.
9. Camera, Photos, and Files
- Camera: Camera access is strictly limited to QR code scanning. No media is saved or shared
by default.
- File Sharing: Files are encrypted end-to-end during upload, transit, and download. Files
expire after a limited time unless saved by the user.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may periodically revise this policy. Changes will be posted within the App and users will be
notified where necessary. Continued use signifies agreement to the updated terms.
